Chimney Rock Trail Races - March 28, 2026
The Chimney Rock Trail Races feature an approximately 5-ish miles single-track trail course on Saturday, March 28, 2026. The route includes rocks, exposed roots, rolling hills, stream crossings, several climbs, and steep rocky downhill sections. Course marshals will be stationed along the route and the trail is well marked.
A water stop is available and runners pass it twice, at about miles 1.5 and 4. Parking is available in the Chimney Rock Park parking lot off Chimney Rock Road. The registration area is at the end of the lot near the park bathrooms. The start and finish area is a short walk from the lot along a paved pathway toward the playground. The pre-race briefing will be sent by email and a short race announcement will be made before the race begins.
Awards are sponsored by Chimney Rock Inn and include top three male and female finishers, plus top three male and female finishers by 10-year age bands beginning with ages 10-19 and extending to 80 and over. Pricing varies by registration period: lower fees before February 21, higher fees in later windows, and a day-of-race price. Post-race refreshments include a pizza party at Chimney Rock Inn with pizza, salad, and soft drinks served until 12:30pm. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
