Course
The course is an out-and-back route that begins at the park shelter and follows the Four Seasons Trail. Runners descend to the bottom of a waterfall, turn around, pass a parking area and observation deck, then climb a long stair section to the top of the waterfall before returning the same way to the start/finish. The route includes a total of 1,000 stairs one way. Elevation gain per loop is listed as 1,883.
Logistics and rules
There will be no day-before bib pickup. BIBs must be worn visibly on the front. Trekking poles are not allowed. The aid station will be stocked with basic foods (examples listed include pickles, cereal, pretzels, candy, fruit, bacon), hydration options (water, Tailwind, and various sodas), and first aid supplies. Weather can vary; rain and fog are possible. The race cutoff is 10 hours. Medals are handmade pottery by BlueGill Pottery and each is unique. No dogs or strollers are allowed on course unless a special exception is made. Entry fees are non-refundable if the event is canceled, including for inclement weather; deferrals require contact with the race director. Results and photographs will be posted after the event.
