Course and aid

The course is an out-and-back route that starts at the shelter and follows the Four Seasons Trail. Runners pass stairs and reach the bottom of a waterfall, then return toward a parking area and an observation deck before climbing a long stair section to the top of the waterfall and returning to the start/finish. The description notes a total of 1,000 stairs one way and an elevation gain per loop of 1,883.

Aid stations will supply basic foods such as pickles, cereal, pretzels, candy, fruit, and bacon. Hydration options include water, Tailwind, and various sodas. First aid will be available at aid stations, and participants are asked to notify staff if they drop out.

Rules and runner information

Bibs must be worn on the front and visible throughout the race. Trekking poles are not allowed. Weather can vary and may include rain and fog. No dogs or strollers are allowed on the course unless a special exception is granted. Entry fees are non-refundable if the event is canceled, including for inclement weather.
