Chicopee Woods WildRUN

This trail running event takes place in partnership with the Elachee Nature Science Center within the Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve in Gainesville, Georgia. The main races are 7 mile and 3 mile trail courses.

The route passes through rhododendron groves, crosses creeks, and includes a 140ft suspension bridge. The trails are described as rolling and covered in pine needles.

There is a 3-hour cutoff for the 7 mile race. An early start option is available upon request via email. A separate Kids Trail Fun Run is offered on a short loop around the preserve, open to children aged 4 to 13, and chaperones are allowed.

A parking pass is required to enter Chicopee Woods. Registrants have the opportunity to purchase an Elachee membership at a discount, which includes an annual parking pass and may provide priority parking near the start/finish line. Non-members may need to use overflow parking or a shuttle service.

The organizers plan to host two group trail runs prior to the race to allow participants to preview the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
