Merrill's Mile

Merrill's Mile is a unique ultrarunning event held at Camp Frank D. Merrill in Dahlonega, Georgia. The race features a certified USA Track & Field 0.9951-mile paved loop with a 10-foot elevation gain per lap.

Participants can choose from 6-hour, 12-hour, 24-hour, and 48-hour race options, with runners changing direction every six hours. The course is 12 feet wide and includes a fully stocked aid station offering a variety of foods and drinks throughout the event. Camping is available on-site, and the race takes place in July, often featuring hot and humid weather with possible afternoon storms.
