Chicago Gaelic Park Carraig Challenge

The event is a cross country running and walking event at Chicago Gaelic Park / Carraig Irish Pub in Oak Forest, Illinois, on Sunday, November 30, 2025. Two course options are offered:

  • 5K run
  • 1.5 mile walk

All proceeds go to Gaelic Park Charities, which provides assistance to charities in the Chicago area.

Entry, fees and event details

Registration categories and listed prices are:

  • Adult (19 and over): $41.00
  • Student (18 and under): $36.73
  • Family of 3 or more (price per person): $36.73

Registration includes a Carraig Challenge sweatshirt; a hooded sweatshirt is available for an additional $4.00. To be guaranteed a size, participants must be registered by November 15, 2025. Registration also includes a Carraig Pub drink ticket and post-race food, including hot soup. No race-day registration is available. Packet pick up opens on race morning.

Awards are given by age and overall. Age-group awards include: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, and 60 & over. Results from previous years are available for 2023, 2024, and 2025. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
