The Champion of Trees 10K

The Champion of Trees 10K takes place at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois. This event features a 10 km course that is USATF-certified and located along the rolling trails of the Arboretum's East Side. The course is closed to regular traffic during the event. Participants receive an official race bib with ChronoTrack timing, a branded T-shirt, and a shoe discount coupon.

The following event options are available:

  • Champion of Trees 10K
  • Virtual 10K
  • Champion of Trees 10K Fundraising Participant

After finishing the course, a post-race party is held in Arbor Court. This celebration includes live entertainment, music, recovery food, water, and beer for participants. The fundraising option allows participants to support the Arboretum's work in tree conservation and advocacy. Those who reach a specific fundraising minimum receive complimentary registration, a special bib, a medal, and additional guest passes to the Arboretum.

For those unable to attend the physical event, a virtual option is available. This allows participants to complete a 10 km distance at a location of their choice or at the Morton Arboretum using a provided admission pass during a designated period prior to the main race date. Virtual runners receive their race materials, including the official bib and shirt, via mail. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
