Event overview

Chauncey’s 4 at The Farm is a spring trail race held at St James Farm in Winfield, Illinois. It is presented as the first event in the Dick Pond Athletics Darn Tough Trail Race Series, which comprises four trail races held in March, June, August, and November. The event offers a 4 Mile Run/Walk distance and includes a finisher woodallion that is part of a four-piece series award for completing the series.

Race details and logistics

The one-loop course is listed as approximately 4.1 miles and follows wide limestone and grass/wooded trail pathways over gently rolling terrain. Runners can expect uneven ground with partially exposed roots and rocks, possible fallen branches, and water-sodden or muddy areas. One water station is provided at about the 2.3-mile mark. Registered participants receive a long-sleeve 1/4 zip race shirt; shirt size is guaranteed only with paid registration by the specified cutoff date. Overall male and female champions receive engraved wood awards. First-place winners in listed age groups receive a pair of Darn Tough socks and must pick up those socks on site. Automatic raffle entry is included with registration; winners must be present to claim prizes. Packet pick-up is offered on the two days before the event at Dick Pond Athletics and on race day at the site. Volunteers are requested to assist with bib pick-up, course marshaling, and finish-area duties. Results are available during the event via the QR code on the race bib.
