Chesterfield Alumni Run - 31st Annual

The Chesterfield Alumni Run is a free, community running event held on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026, at Pocahontas State Park, front field near the main entrance. The event is hosted by =PR= Run Club - RVA and requires registration.

The program includes a cross-country 5k that follows the Dominion District XC course route beginning from the park front field. A short youth fun run takes place in the front field and is described by the organizer as approximately a short dash that crosses the official finish line. The first 50 youth finishers receive a traditional gingerbread cookie at the finish.

On the morning of the event there are check-in procedures, an organized kids run, group photos for alumni, a community 5k, and raffle prize drawings later in the program. The event remains free to participants, with optional donations accepted for a memorial award that supports a local high school track and field and cross-country program.

Location details include the park address 10301 State Park Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23832, United States. The event emphasizes alumni reunion elements and community presence on the park front field while using the established cross-country course for the 5k.
