The Chesterfield Alumni Run takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield, VA. The event marks the 30th anniversary of the run and is presented by =PR= Run Club - RVA. It is organized as a free community event held on Thanksgiving Day.
Format and details
The main race is an XC 5k that starts in the front field near the park main entrance and follows the Dominion District cross-country course route. A Kids Fun Run takes place in the front field; every youth finisher receives a traditional gingerbread cookie. There is a post-run gathering with giveaways and community time.
Optional donations will be accepted for a memorial award to support a local high school track and cross-country program. Although event entry is free, a park entrance parking fee of $7 is required and must be paid at the park entrance contact station; failure to pay can result in a $25 parking ticket.
