ChesLen Chase 2026

The ChesLen Chase is an annual running event organized by Natural Lands held at the ChesLen Preserve in Coatesville. The event takes place on a trail course that features a variety of terrain including steep hills, creek crossings, woodlands, and open fields. Due to the nature of the course, dogs and strollers are not permitted on the route.

Participants can choose between two main distances:

  • 5K Trail Run
  • 2-Mile Fun Run-Walk

Registered participants aged 12 and over receive a T-shirt, though size and availability are only guaranteed for those who pre-register by the specified deadline. The event includes competitive elements for the 5K distance, with awards presented to the top male, female, and non-binary finishers overall, as well as in specific age groups. There are no awards for the 2-Mile Fun Run-Walk.

The event concludes with a post-race gathering at the Lenfest Center pavilion. This social event features music, food trucks, and craft beer provided by East Branch Brewing. Registration follows a tiered pricing structure based on age and registration date, with specific categories for youth and discounts available for Natural Lands members.
