The Charmouth Challenge is an 8-mile fell run held annually on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, featuring a hilly, multi-terrain course with stunning coastal views, including an ascent of Golden Cap, the highest point on the South Coast of England. Organized since 1983, it serves as the main fundraiser for the local primary school. The event also includes a 2-mile Fun Run for younger participants. The Challenge attracts runners from various regions and enjoys strong community support. Headphones, dogs, wheeled vehicles, and walkers are not permitted, and participants must be at least 18 years old to enter the main race.
