Charlottesville Summer Trail Running Series

The Charlottesville Summer Trail Running Series consists of four distinct trail running events held between May and August in the Charlottesville and Crozet areas of Virginia. This series totals approximately 15.5 miles across four different venues. Participants who enter the full series compete for age group prizes and overall series awards based on cumulative finishing times.

The series includes the following events:

  • 5 km at Mint Springs Valley Park in Crozet.
  • 5 km at O-Hill in Charlottesville.
  • 5 miles at the Boars Head Resort in Charlottesville.
  • 4 miles at Pen Park in Charlottesville.

Participants receive a t-shirt for the first race of the series. Runners who complete all four events are eligible for a technical running shirt, while those who complete three out of four events receive a cotton finisher shirt. Advanced registration for the series is required to be eligible for these shirts. The final event of the series includes a cookout for participants.

Age group awards are provided for the top three male and female finishers in each individual race and for the overall series. Categories range from ages 12 and under up to 70 and older. Animals are not permitted on the courses for any of the races in this series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
