The CF64 Winter Race is an off-road mixed-terrain race held within Cosmeston Lakes Country Park in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan. The course distance is approximately 6.4 miles / 10.3 km. The event is organised by Penarth and Dinas Runners and is licensed by Welsh Athletics (Licence No. TR-26-2). The 2026 edition is scheduled for Sunday 18 January 2026.

Course, safety and rules

The undulating course stays entirely within the country park and uses a variety of surfaces through woodland, meadows, scrubland and some marshy areas, with sections of tarmac and trails. The route will be marshalled at key points, with additional signage and mile markers. A central first-aid station is located at race headquarters and a 4x4 rapid response vehicle will be available for on-course emergencies. There is a cut-off time of 1 hour 30 minutes; participants who exceed this time may not receive a result and could be asked to withdraw from later stages. Runners must be at least 18 years old on race day. The race is held under UK Athletics rules; full rules are provided in the Race Information Pack.

Entry fees for recent races were stated as £8 and £10, with a stated closing date for entries prior to the race. Free race photos and course maps have been made available in past years.
