Event Overview

The Causey Pike Fell Race is an AS category fell race organized by Keswick Athletic Club. The event follows a traditional route that takes participants to the summit of Causey Pike. The course starts from Stair and travels toward the Newlands Valley road before ascending to Rowling End. Runners then pass Sleet Hause to reach the summit of Causey Pike. The return route descends the fell and follows the miners' path along Stoneycroft Gill back to the start point.

The course is partially marked at the summit and features three marshal points along the way. All participants must adhere to Fell Runners Association (FRA) rules. Required equipment includes full kit and a mandatory base layer. The race is open to individuals aged 16 and older, though participants under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
