Carnival Chase event

Carnival Chase is a community running event in Warminster Town Park, BA12 9NT, on 06 Sep 2026. The course runs on country lanes, tracks and trails and starts and finishes by the boating lake. The route has no stiles but includes a few kissing gates. A GPX route file is available.

The 10K is open to runners aged 16 and over on the day. The 3K is open to all; children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. The 1.2K is suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. Dogs are not allowed. Headphones, including bone conduction headphones, are not permitted.

Facilities, prizes and fees

Toilets and refreshments will be available. The 10K route has two water stations. First aid cover is provided and the event is fully insured. Medals are awarded to all finishers. Prize categories include top male and female places in the 10K and 3K, local prizes for the 10K, and awards in the 1.2K for wheelchair, buggy and youth places. Listed entry fees are: 10K £22 affiliated / £24 unattached; 3K £12 affiliated / £14 unattached; 1.2K £7. Merchandise listed includes a buff (£5) and bib clips (£6).

Starburster is a twilight 5 or 10 mile run through Hurn Forest on 31 January, with out and back laps on firm forest trails beneath sunset skies. Head torches are required and 20% of entry fees support Forestry England for trail care.
