California Gold Rush Trail Run - Spring
This event takes place inside Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park in Coloma, California. The courses use a mix of singletrack dirt trails and some paved sections, with rolling hills, flat meadows, switchbacks, and moderately technical ascents and descents. Wildlife and scenic views occur along the routes.

Course details include a 5K clockwise loop that climbs to the highest point about 500 feet above the meadows. The 10K, 15K, and half marathon add additional loops and a steep half mile fire road; the 15K repeats the 5K loop and the half marathon includes multiple Monroe Ridge Trail loops. Recorded ascent totals are: 5K 600 ft, 10K 1,286 ft, 15K 1,834 ft, and Half Marathon 2,493 ft. The course is marked at intersections, has mile markers and a halfway sign for the half marathon, and marshals are posted at key points. Bibs must be visible for marshal direction.
Two fully stocked aid stations plus an on-course water stop are provided; most participants pass them multiple times. The event is held rain or shine and has a 4.5 hour time limit. Parking is at the North Beach lot with a $10 per vehicle fee; Golden Poppy passes are accepted. Online registration is available through the morning of the race and race day registration is offered at the event. Shirts may be purchased during registration or at the event.
