Caldervale Muddy Shoes 10k and 11mile

Caldervale Muddy Shoes is an off-road running event taking place on Sunday 8 February 2026 at Caldervale Village Hall, Caldervale, Preston PR3 1SJ. Routes run mainly on tracks and across fields around Caldervale and touch the base of Beacon Fell country park.

The 11 mile route has a three hour cutoff because of the time of year. Participants receive a map and a direction sheet for their chosen course. There are three checkpoints on the route.

Entries open on 19 December 2025 and close on 6 February 2026. Entry fees vary by distance and membership status, and listed fees include a booking fee. The event is organised by 3CS Tours. The what3words location given for the venue is oils.brambles.flipper.

Run the Petzl Night Runner at Rivington under head torch light, choosing 10 km or a half marathon on glow in the dark trail signage. Expect rough, boggy, rocky terrain, a finisher medal and lively post race buzz.

A 23 mile winter walk and run around the Lyth Valley from Abbot Hall Social Centre in Kendal, passing Cunswick Fell, Whitbarrow Scar and Scout Scar. The event has mandatory winter kit rules and currently operates a waiting list.

Hoofstones Fell Race in Todmorden covers 8 miles with 425 m of climb across the Pennines, testing navigation skills. Race HQ is the Staff of Life pub where post race refreshments and prizes await; entries accepted pre entry or on the day.

Take on the iconic Pendle Way in a day with 45 miles or 30 miles across rugged South Pennines moorland, fully waymarked from Barley. This winter trail challenge welcomes runners and walkers but requires winter kit and navigation gear.
