Bustard Express is a Pony Express style trail event held at Davies Creek Mountain Bike Park on 23 May 2026. Competitors may enter as solo runners or in teams of two, three or four and aim to complete as many laps as possible within a four hour time limit. Teams race in a continuous relay style while solo competitors run individually.

Entry is online only. Entry categories and fees include solo Grubs (under 12) $10, solo Juniors (13–17) $20, solo Adults (18 plus) $40, and team fees ranging from $40 to $160 depending on age group combinations. Entries close 8.00 pm on Wednesday 20 May. Full refunds are available for cancellations made prior to the close of entries; entrants must notify the organiser before entries close.

The event uses three loop options:

  • 3.2 km short loop
  • 7.2 km medium loop
  • 14.5 km long loop

Organisers will provide water, fruit and savoury snacks at the start/finish area but no dinner meal. Participants are advised to bring race food, a hydration pack or bottle and a cup, a snake bandage, a tent or marquee for a team base, seating and their own plate for post‑run food.
