Burralow Bush Run

The Burralow Bush Run is a non profit trail running event based at the Bilpin Fruit Bowl in the Blue Mountains. It is presented in collaboration with Hawkesbury Trail Runners and donates ten dollars from each registration to the Bilpin, Kurrajong Heights and Grose Vale Rural Fire Services.

Distances offered include:

  • 16 km Devil's Dash, traverses Devils Wilderness on national park land
  • 34 km Billy to Bomo, includes out and back sections via Burralow Campground and Bowen Mountain
  • 1.5 km Kids cross country course around the Fruit Bowl orchard

Elevation gains are listed at approximately +184 m for the 16 km course and +813 m for the 34 km course. The 16 km course has aid stations around 4 km, 9 km and 12 km. The 34 km course has multiple aid stations, including points near 8 km and 27 km. Aid stations offer fruit, water, lollies and chips; some longer course stations also offer electrolytes and cola. There are no cups at aid stations and all runners must carry at least 500 ml of water under the event No Water No Result rule.

Parking is primarily in the paddock on Bells Line of Road with an about 400 m walk to the event hub. Toilets are available at the Fruit Bowl and at the campground on the long course. Course maps and GPX files are provided, and photos and official results are published after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
