Run for the Hills - Bella Vista Farm

Run for the Hills is a community running event held at Bella Vista Farm on Sunday 6th September. It is organised by volunteers from the Castle Hill Rotary Club and is presented as a family-oriented day with market stalls, food trucks, kids’ rides, face painting, and live radio.

The event offers multiple course options over cross country trails around the farm, with race finishes on Bella Vista Oval. The program includes medals for all finishers and provisions for a family colour run and costumed entries.

  • 3.7 km Family Fun Circuit, one lap, optional colour run, medal for all
  • 7.4 km Intermediate Fun Run, two laps, medals and trophies for top three male and female
  • 11 km Challenge Run, three laps, officially timed with published results and trophies for top three male and female

The event is described as pet friendly and allows prams. Participants may nominate a local charity to receive fundraising support; beneficiary organisations mentioned include Youth In Search, Positive Vibes Foundation, and Rotary Castle Hill. A fundraising incentive is offered: the top individual fundraiser who raises over $1,000 is eligible to win a Hamilton Island getaway including flights and three nights accommodation. The event webpage also shows an overall fundraising goal of $100,000. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
