The Buchlyvie 10k is a trail race held on 24 January 2026 in Buchlyvie, Stirling. Entry is limited to 300 runners. The event is run under UK Athletics rules and holds Scottish Athletics licence ES014529.

Course and race operations

The course is an out-and-back route that begins behind the primary school and follows Station Road to an old railway track used as a firetrack. The turning point is at Barbadoes Cottage on the old railway track. The course is chip timed and described as predominantly flat with one hill. Jelly babies and water are provided at the turnaround. A lead bike and a sweeper will be used. First aiders, marshals, Lomond Mountain Rescue and Central Scotland Police will assist with safety. Runners must follow the instructions of police and marshals.

Facilities, entry and prizes

Registration takes place in Buchlyvie Village Hall and race numbers include embedded timing chips. There will be refreshments and home baking for sale in the hall, plus event beanies for sale. Toilets are available in the hall and gender neutral portaloos in the hall car park; there are also toilets in the layby. There will be a prize giving after the race with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers, a prize for the final finisher and spot prizes from local businesses. Trail runs nearby

A social 10 km trail run from Milngavie Train Station along the Clyde Coastal path and West Highland Way, led by a qualified guide. Trail shoes are mandatory and dogs and under 18s are not permitted.

A trail race weekend at Whitelee Wind Farm offering 10K, half marathon, 50K ultra and a junior mile. Routes use windfarm access roads with staffed checkpoints, on-site parking and an Event Village with facilities.

Trail runs at Callendar House in Falkirk offer three distances, live chip timing and Canicross access. Finishers receive a medal, event merchandise and a snack and drink.

An evening urban orienteering event at Pollock Park on 22nd July 2026 where pairs follow clues to navigate point to point. The course is described as very basic and no compass is required.
