Dollar Hill Race

The Dollar Hill Race is a hill running event held on Sat 04-Jul-26. The course covers approximately 15 km 960 m AM over upland and glen terrain, with an entry fee of £6. Pre-entry opens 23rd May via SiEntries and there is entry on the day; entries close Thu 02-Jul-26 23:59. Kit is checked at registration.

The organised start and finish are at the Cricket Pavilion, Dollar Academy (nearest postcode FK14 7EA). The route begins in Dollar Glen, follows paths and tracks through wooded sections and stiles, and exits the glen to cross the Burn of Sorrow. The outward route includes steep climbs and a series of checkpoints on Saddle Hill (NN 955005), Whitewisp Hill (NN 955014), Tarmangie Hill (NN 943014), Andrew Gannel (NN 919005), Kings Seat (NS 936998) and Bank Hill (NS 954992), before returning via Dollar Glen to the pavilion.

Terrain ranges from runnable tracks to steep, boggy sections and fence-line navigation. Competitors are required to carry a whistle, compass, full waterproof body cover, hat and gloves. Recommended maps include OS Landranger 58, OS Explorer 366 and Harvey Maps for the Ochil Hills. The course description notes specific navigation features such as a 300 degree turn on Andrew Gannel and a steep 400 ft climb onto Kings Seat.
