Bruce's Crown Race is a 46-mile team endurance event in Dumfries and Galloway, running on April 11–12, 2026, starting and finishing at Caldons near Glentrool, Newton Stewart. Teams of 2 to 4 navigate a rugged route across three hill ranges (Minnigaff Hills, Rhinns of Kells, the Awful Hand), accumulating over 4000 metres of climbing. The course promises dramatic 360-degree scenery on clear days.
Three staffed food checkpoints provide soup and hot meals, with MRT safety support across the hills. Two route cutoffs plus an overall 24-hour limit; camping is included in the entry. Proceeds support the Galloway Mountain Rescue Team. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
