Bruce's Crown Race

The Bruce's Crown race is scheduled for Saturday, 11th April 2026. It is a team navigation event that takes place in the Galloway hills. The course is a full circuit of the area, taking in the southern peaks, the Rhinnes of Kells, the Range of the Awful Hand, and Bruce's Stone before the finish. The "perfect" route is measured at 46 miles with 4600m of ascent.

Three fully stocked checkpoints with provisions like hot soup will be located on the route, along with safety points manned by mountain rescue teams. The event is licensed and run under Scottish Hill Runners and Galloway Mountain Rescue Team (GMRT) insurance. All profits from the race will go to Galloway Mountain Rescue Team.

Heart of Granite Race
