GPS Cross Country 5K - BRRC

The event is a 5K cross country race at Herring Run Park in Baltimore on November 15, 2026. The course uses a mix of paved sections, open field running and technical single track; it crosses the river twice and runs through wooded areas. The start is located along Belair Road on the Chesterfield side near the muraled shed; coordinates 39.326448, -76.568350 are provided as a waypoint. Participants are advised that road shoes are acceptable for much of the course, but some technical sections may benefit from trail shoes. The route deviates from local high school cross country courses and begins with an XC style start that allows field running to spread the field.

Entry to the race is free. Donations are accepted for a scholarship fund for college freshmen and for Friends of Herring Run Parks. The event is listed as the final Grand Prix Series race of the year. Because the course includes many turns in a confined area, volunteers are requested to assist with course management. Parking is available along Belair Road or Chesterfield Road with a short walk to the start on the Chesterfield side and upstream of the Herring Run bridge.
