Course Details

The route covers 6 km with a total climb of 200 m. It begins at a crossroads with the Wicklow Way in Brockagh Woods, which is approximately a 1 km walk or run from the registration area. The race route is fully marked, and the use of GPS devices is permitted. The event includes a shorter course option of 4.2 km. A mass start is scheduled and there is no early start option.

Registration and Logistics

Registration opens on February 23, 2026, and closes on February 28, 2026. On the day of the event, registration is open from 9:15 to 10:30, and late entries are not accepted. The race has an entry limit of 200 participants. The parking area is to be confirmed, but directions are provided to the village of Laragh. The race start is at 11:00, with a separate juniors' start at 11:05.

Mandatory Kit

A specific kit list is required for the event. Runners must bring a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, a whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent. Runners should have the means to carry this kit. The final decision on what must be carried during the race will be made on the day based on conditions and announced at registration.
