ALTAR Nutrition 50 km, 100 km and 100 km relay

ALTAR is an endurance trail event held at Avondale Forest Park in Wicklow. The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, and this is the second year the event is being run.

The event offers multiple race options:

  • 50 km: Ultra distance with approximately 780 m elevation gain
  • 100 km: Full 100 km effort with approximately 1540 m elevation gain
  • 100 km relay: Team option for up to 5 runners, total course comprises 31 loops

Relay teams may divide the 31 loops among team members as they choose provided all 31 loops are completed.

Ticket prices are listed for individual and team entries. Available ticket types include individual 100 km entry, individual 50 km entry, and 100 km relay team entry with stated prices in euros.

A nighttime outdoor event on January 16, 2026, retracing a 1592 escape from Dublin Castle. It features a long Challenge to Glenmalure and a 25 km Pursuit to Kippure, each limited to 200 places and supported by mountain rescue.

Take on the Sugarloaf Winter Fell Race from Kilmacanogue GAA in County Wicklow, an 8.60 km route with 417 m of climb and great views over Bray. A 4.00 km junior course is available and winter fell rules and kit apply.

Take on the Howth Winter Race in County Dublin, a scenic, fully marked trail with a challenging 7.35 km main and 4.85 km short option. Part of the Winter League Leinster, expect climbs, marshals and a lively prizegiving.

Take on the Carrick Winter race in Glenealy, Co Wicklow with a new 9.00 km winter route and a 4.80 km option for juniors. Tackle scenic, testing terrain then celebrate at The Hurlers for prizegiving.
