Dargle Four Peaks

The Dargle Four Peaks is an open mountain race held in County Wicklow. The event involves visiting the four peaks of the upper Dargle Valley: Djouce, War Hill, Tonduff, and Maulin.

It is a free-route-choice event, meaning competitors can choose their own sequence of peaks, direction of travel, and specific lines between them. The total distance is approximately 15 km with 800 m of climb. The event is not marked, and participants must self-navigate; the use of GPS or other electronic devices for navigation is not allowed. A map and compass can be used.

A comprehensive mandatory kit list is required (Level C). This includes items like a waterproof jacket, full leg cover, hat, gloves, whistle, emergency food, a map, a compass, and a charged mobile phone. The exact kit to be carried will be confirmed on the day based on conditions. Failure to have the required items may result in denial of entry or disqualification.

Registration takes place at Boleyhorrigan. Parking is available at a car park on the R759 opposite Pier Gates, from where it is about a 25-minute jog to the registration and start/finish area. Refreshments will be available at the finish line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
