The Annagh Hill run is scheduled for Saturday, 11 April 2026 in Wexford. This is a new route.

There are two course options: a long course of 10.70 km with 550 m of climb, and a shorter course of 5.00 km. The event is described as having difficult terrain.

Participation

Entry is required in advance; there are no cash entries on the day. The entry limit is 250 participants. Entry opens on Monday, 6 April 2026 and closes on Friday, 10 April 2026. There is an early start option available.

Mandatory Kit

All runners must bring a set of mandatory kit, classified as Level B - Standard. The list includes a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, a whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket or equivalent. The Race Director will determine on the day which items must be carried during the race based on weather conditions. Runners must have the means to carry all kit. Failure to have required items may lead to denied entry or disqualification.

Route and Recommendations

The route is marked per IMRA guidelines, with only major junctions marked. GPS devices are allowed. On the return along the ridge, the route follows an existing way-marked trail called the "yellow belly loop," marked with purple arrows. Trail shoes with good grip are described as essential. The long course is not recommended for beginners.

Location and Facilities

The meeting point is the Gap Pub. Parking is available opposite the pub. Carpooling is encouraged, and priority parking will be given to cars with more than one occupant. A national championship 50 km ultramarathon in Donadea Forest Park, County Kildare, organised by Donadea Running Club and scheduled for 14 February 2026. Late entries use offsite parking with a shuttle to the race.

Tackle the slopes of Wicklow at the Askanagap Hill mountain run. Choose between an 8.5km loop or a shorter 4.85km out-and-back course, both fully marked. Carpooling is essential due to limited parking at the scenic start line.
