Beyond Bristol takes place in central Bristol on 28 March 2026. The event starts and finishes at Museum Square (BS1 4RN). Two trail distances are offered and the route uses city riverside paths, parks, woodland trails and disused railway lines. The course passes under the Clifton Suspension Bridge, goes through Leigh Wood Nature Reserve, follows the Frome Valley Way and links with Eastville Park and the Bristol and Bath Railway before returning to the city.

The 55 km route includes more than 10 km on the old railway line and three feed stations: Eastville Park (14.5 km), Bitton Station on the Avon Railway (27.2 km) and Chequers Inn, Hanham Mills (41.1 km). The 25 km route has one feed station at Eastville Park (14.5 km) and includes about 6 km on the Bristol and Bath Railway/old railway alignment. Route surfaces are a mix of paved and unpaved: the 55 km route is listed as 70% paved / 30% unpaved, the 25 km as 82% paved / 18% unpaved. The event provides a fully signed route, GPX files, chip timing, feed stations, medical support and a finishers' medal. Age limits apply: 20 or over for the 55 km and 18 or over for the 25 km. Join the inaugural Allsorts Tinkley Gate Santa Dash for a festive family friendly 5 km trail run at Woodchester, with costumes and a post race cafe. Dress as Santa or an elf to support local charity Allsorts; dogs on short leashes welcome.

Celebrate early with The Early Christmas Present, a timed loop along the peaceful Stroud Waterways canal where you can run from 5k up to ultra on flat towpath. Limited places, bespoke finisher memento and virtual entry available.

Take on the 7 Sins and Immortal trail runs at Wenchford Picnic Site, a hilly, muddy winter course where 7 or 14 miles test your legs and grit. Canicross waves welcome, so come prepared for wet, icy and steep trails.

Join the Community Canal Run for a scenic off road route along the canal and River Tone into Taunton. Free to enter with registration required, choose a 14 mile or 7.5 mile route and enjoy cafes and a relaxed, untimed atmosphere.
