Event overview

Beyond Bristol is a trail running event in central Bristol on 28 March 2026. It offers two distances:

  • 55 km Ultra
  • 25 km Trail

Entries include chip timing, a finishers' medal, fully waymarked route and downloadable GPX files, feed stations and medical support. The event is open to walkers, joggers and runners. Age limits apply: entrants must meet the minimum age requirement for each distance.

Route and logistics

Both routes start and finish at Museum Square (BS1 4RN) and use a mix of footpaths, parks, woodland trails, riverside paths and disused railway lines. The course passes under the Clifton Suspension Bridge, climbs through Leigh Wood Nature Reserve, follows the Frome Valley Way, goes through Eastville Park and links with the Bristol and Bath Railway and the River Avon Trail.

Feed stations:

  • 55 km: three feed stations (Eastville Park at 14.5 km; Bitton Station at 27.2 km; Chequers Inn at 41.1 km)
  • 25 km: one feed station (Eastville Park at 14.5 km)

The 55 km route is listed as about 70% paved and 30% unpaved; the 25 km route is about 82% paved and 18% unpaved.
