Beyond Bristol takes place in Bristol on 28 March 2026. The event starts and finishes at Museum Square (BS1 4RN). There are two distance options:

  • 55 km ultra
  • 25 km trail

Age limits apply: entrants must be at least 20 years old for the 55 km and 18 years old for the 25 km. Entries include a finishers' medal, chip timing, fully waymarked routes, GPX route files, feed stations and medical support. The event enforces cut off times so all participants complete the route by 18:00.

Routes and support

Both routes follow riverside paths and city green spaces. Highlights on the routes include running alongside the River Avon, passing under the Clifton Suspension Bridge, climbing through Leigh Wood Nature Reserve, sections on the Frome Valley Way, Eastville Park, and stretches on the Bristol and Bath Railway (the 55 km route includes over 10 km on the old railway; the 25 km route includes about 6 km). The 55 km route also follows the River Avon Trail and loops back into the city.

Feed stations: the 55 km route has three feed stations (Eastville Park at 14.5 km, Bitton Station at 27.2 km, and Chequers Inn at 41.1 km). The 25 km route has one feed station at Eastville Park (14.5 km). Surface mix: 55 km is about 70% paved and 30% unpaved; 25 km is about 82% paved and 18% unpaved.
