Bright Fun Run - Bright P-12 College fundraiser
The Bright Fun Run is an annual community running event held in Bright in north-east Victoria. It has been held since 2011 and operates as a fundraiser for Bright P-12 College. The event is entirely volunteer powered and presents a mix of trail races and family activities.
The event features multiple trail distances:
- 18 km HVP Plantations Trail Race
- 8 km Beatson Builders Trail Race
- 3 km Sixpence Coffee Trail Run
In addition to the feature races there are Kids' Novelty Races with simple games and activities for younger participants. Recent editions have included a village area with coffee, a BBQ and bake sale run by the school, temporary tattoos, yard games and community giveaways. A DJ provided music at the 2025 event.
The 2025 edition drew about 400 runners and was reported as the most successful fundraising year since the event returned three years earlier. The Bright Fun Run combines organised trail running with community stalls and family-oriented activities, supported by local volunteers and sponsors.
