The Beechworth Beer Run is a trail running event held on Saturday 3 October 2026 at Lake Sambell Caravan Park, Peach Drive, Beechworth, Victoria, Australia. The event pairs trail running with beer-themed elements and uses parts of the Indigo Epic Mountain Bike Trail. Digital maps and GPX downloads are provided via AllTrails for each distance. Aid stations on course will offer standard trail supplies including Tailwind nutrition, and a non-alcoholic beer option will be available at a key checkpoint. Over-18 finishers receive a free beer or an equivalent soft drink for under-18s.

Race distances and course format

  • 30 km : point-to-point from Yackandandah to Beechworth, mostly on the Indigo trail; bus support is provided for the point-to-point format.
  • 15 km : loop starting and finishing at Lake Sambell Caravan Park, using the Pipeline Trail out and the Indigo Trail back.
  • 5 km : loop around Lake Sambell that passes the old mine, the Chinese Gardens, and Sandy Beach.
  • 2.5 km (Kids Cordial Cruze) : a marshalled loop around Lake Sambell with a cordial aid station and a unique finisher award for participants.

Entries, pricing and policies

Early bird, standard and late entry pricing periods apply. A full refund minus an administration fee is available for cancellations made before 1 September 2026; no refunds or deferrals are offered after that date. Entry transfers to another person are permitted; transfers to future events are not allowed. Ticket insurance can be purchased during registration to cover specific circumstances.
