Beechworth Beer Run 2026

The Beechworth Beer Run takes place on 3 October 2026 around Beechworth Lake Sambell Caravan Park in Beechworth, Victoria. The event combines trail running on local mountain bike and 4WD trails with a family focused festival atmosphere and craft beer elements.

Course options include:

  • 30 km point to point from Yackandandah to Beechworth Lake Sambell Caravan Park
  • 15 km loop starting and finishing at Beechworth Lake Sambell Caravan Park
  • 5 km loop around Lake Sambell past the old mine and Chinese Gardens
  • 2.5 km kids loop around Lake Sambell with a cordial aid station and finisher award

The 30 km course follows the Indigo Epic trail for the majority of the distance, with the remainder on 4WD trails. The 15 km and 5 km events are looped courses that start and finish at Lake Sambell.

The event is family focused. All participants aged over 18 receive a free beer at the finish; under 18s receive two cans of soft drink. On course aid stations will include alcohol free beer and standard trail run supplies including Tailwind Nutrition.

Refunds are available only if cancellation is notified before 1 September 2026 and are subject to a A$30 administration fee. No refunds are issued after that date. Trail races at Bonnie Doon Park, West Albury on May 24, 2026 include a 14.8 km course (±435 m) and a 5 km course (±180 m). The routes feature singletrack, flowing MTB-style sections and the "Powerlines" descent.

A mountain stage near Baranduda on June 21, 2026, featuring a 16.3 km long course with about 845 m climb and a 6.9 km short course. Trails include farmland sections, technical terrain, and a prominent descent.
