The Beechworth Beer Run is a running event that combines trail running with beer. It is presented in association with Bridge Road Brewers.

Distances

The event offers several trail running distances:

  • 30 km (Full Pint): A point-to-point course from Yackandandah to Beechworth.
  • 15 km (Half Pint): A loop course out and back to Lake Sambell.
  • 5 km (Quencher)
  • 2.5 km (Kids Cordial Cruze)

On-Course Beverages

For the 30 km and 15 km distances, participants receive a free beer (redeemable at the finish line) and there is a surprise aid station offering non-alcoholic beer. These beverages are only available to participants aged 18 and over; underage runners or non-drinkers receive a soft drink alternative. For the 5 km and 2.5 km distances, aid stations provide water, Tailwind, and cordial for kids, but no free beer is included.

Additional Information

The event promotes responsible drinking. The beer offered on course is non-alcoholic. Participants are encouraged to leave their cars at accommodation and walk to the event headquarters at Lake Sambell Caravan Park.
