Braunton Burrows South is a colour-coded orienteering event scheduled for Sunday 7th December 2025. It is part of the Devon League (round 4). The terrain is sand dunes with complex contour detail, adjoining the Taw estuary and the beach at Saunton Sands. Car sharing is available.
Courses and entry
- Brown - 8.3 km, 235 m climb
- Blue - 6.0 km, 180 m climb
- Green - 4.5 km, 120 m climb
- Short Green - 3.7 km, 90 m climb
- Light Green - 3.7 km, 100 m climb
- Orange - 2.5 km, 55 m climb
- Yellow - 2.0 km, 40 m climb
All courses use a map at scale 1:7500. The Senior Novice fee applies to Light Green, Orange and Yellow.
Standard fees include Senior £10.00, Senior Novice £5.00, Junior/Student £3.00, non-BOF supplement £2.00 and chip hire £1.00. Group entry fee is £6.00. Late entries are allowed until 05/12/2025, subject to map availability and a £1 supplement. If a hired SI card is lost, the replacement cost is £30. Juniors are defined as under 21 on 31st December.
