Town to Trail Bournemouth

Town to Trail is an urban to trail running event in Bournemouth on Sunday 23 August 2026. The route is a fully signed loop of 8 miles that starts and finishes at Bournemouth Square and leads into the pines, parkland and quiet trails of Meyrick Park and nearby green spaces.

The course uses mixed surfaces including wide park paths, narrow woodland trails and sandy heath tracks. Total elevation gain is 81 metres with gentle undulation. There is a single aid station at mile 5 inside Meyrick Park providing water and snacks. Toilets are available at the start, the finish and at about 6 km near Meyrick Park Club. Road crossings on the route are marshalled and the organisers provide GPX files for extra certainty.

The event is presented as beginner friendly and carries a difficulty rating of 2 out of 5 with a 2.5 hour cut off. Chip timing and results are in place and finishers receive a medal. Race HQ and registration are on the first floor of Bobby's & Co at PATCH where the bar will be open for coffee, beer and cocktails after the run. An optional Run Easy 10 week training programme by Sole Clinic is offered for build up to the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
