Bournemouth Coastal TEN, Dorset
The Bournemouth Coastal TEN offers two distances starting from Hengistbury Head, a nature reserve with facilities and hard-standing parking. Both routes follow Bournemouth seafront paths and include a section along Boscombe Pier with uninterrupted sea views.
On clear days the course offers views of the Isle of Wight, The Needles, and Old Harry Rocks on the Jurassic Coast. The route is largely flat and traffic free, with wayfinding marked using pink arrows and pink tape. Hazards and road junctions are signed with 'Caution' notices.
Entries include chip timing, a finisher's medal, water stations, post-race refreshments, a personalised certificate, bib number and finishers goodies. First aid support is provided at on-course aid stations and at the event centre. The event operates as a plastic free race and participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle for water stations.
Spectators are welcome. The event names HealthBus as its charity of the year and notes the charity delivers mobile nurse-led healthcare for people experiencing homelessness in Bournemouth and nearby areas. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
