Born to Run 5K - Des Moines

Born to Run is a community running event held at Confluence Brewing Company, 1235 Thomas Beck Road, Des Moines, IA 50315. The program includes a 5K race and a 1 Mile Fun Run on a looped scenic trail. The event welcomes runners, walkers, running strollers and leashed dogs.

• 1 Mile Fun Run: non-competitive short course, open to all ages

Registration opens June 7, 2026 and closes October 29, 2026. Standard entry fee is $37.00. Family pricing is applied automatically for four or more entries with each entry saving $5. Day of registration will be available at an increased cost.

The event is professionally timed with chip timing, live online results and finish-line video. Packet pickup is planned at Fitness Sports, 8810 Swanson Blvd, Clive, IA 50325, or on race day at Confluence Brewing Company. All proceeds benefit Mary's Helping Hands, an organization that provides clothing, diapers and wipes at no cost to families for a child’s first two years of life.
