Bodmin Bluelight 10K Trail Race

The Bodmin Bluelight 10K Trail Race is a charity event organized by the Bodmin Running Club and the Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service. Hosted at Cardinham Woods near Bodmin, the event features a single 10 km trail loop through the forest environment.

The course includes forest paths and several climbs. The event is open to the public with no specific qualification requirements, allowing participants to run, jog, or walk the distance. As a charity-focused race, all proceeds are donated to the Fire Fighters Charity, Cornwall Air Ambulance (specifically the Ambulance Staff Charity), and the Police Benevolent Fund to support the physical and mental wellbeing of emergency service personnel.

In addition to the general entry, the event hosts the Tri-County Cup Challenge. This competition involves firefighters from Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset who compete for a regional trophy. Participants can participate as affiliated or non-affiliated runners.

Every finisher receives a medal upon completion of the course. Trophies are also awarded to the top three male and female finishers. On-site facilities include a registration area open prior to the start and a safety briefing for all participants.
