TSUNAMI Ocean Trails

TSUNAMI Ocean Trails takes place on 6 June 2026 along sections of the North Devon and Cornish coastline between Westward Ho!, Clovelly, Hartland Quay and Bude. The routes follow clifftops and coastal paths and include isolated terrain with long stretches away from villages.

Distances on offer include:

  • Ultra marathon Westward Ho! to Bude
  • Marathon Clovelly to Bude
  • Sixteen miles Hartland Quay to Bude

The marathon route includes almost 2,000 m of ascent and finishes on the lawns of Castle Bude. The Ultra extends the marathon by a further 11 miles. The Sixteen covers the steep coastal section from Hartland Quay into Bude.

Courses are fully marked and marshalled. First aid is provided on the course and at headquarters. All finishers receive a bespoke medal. Bus transport to the start locations is available for purchase as part of entry and is priced by route: Castle Bude to Ultra start £15, Castle Bude to Marathon start £12, Castle Bude to 16 mile start £12.

Trail runs nearby

Trail races at Roadford Lake with 10.5K and 5K laps, a half marathon on two laps, plus 1K and 2K kids races; adults may accompany children at no extra charge.

A fell running event at Meldon Reservoir featuring a five mile senior race climbing 1,362 ft to High Willhays and return, plus junior races over 2 km and 4 km. The course requires self navigation and includes compulsory checkpoints.

Langstone Fell Race runs from Peter Tavy across Coombe Tor, Cox Tor and the Langstone over roughly 10 km, with 2k and 5k options and junior races; parking, toilets and post-race refreshments are provided.

A guided trail run of about 10 miles through woodland tracks, river valley paths and minor lanes around the Tamar Valley, starting at the Tamar Trails carpark. Steady guided pace; trail shoes, waterproof and snacks recommended.
