TSUNAMI Ocean Trails

TSUNAMI Ocean Trails stages multiple trail races along remote sections of the North Devon and Cornish coastline, using clifftops and coastal paths. Routes run between named coastal locations and finish at Castle Bude lawns for the listed distances.

  • Ultra 37 – Westward Ho! to Bude
  • Marathon – Clovelly to Bude
  • Sixteen – Hartland Quay to Bude (16 miles)

The marathon route starts at Clovelly harbour and follows the Coast Path, including cobbled uphill sections through the village, and takes in almost 2,000 m of ascent. The sixteen-mile route includes steep and exposed sections from Hartland Quay toward Bude. The ultra adds approximately 11 miles beyond the marathon route.

Logistics noted by the organiser include bus transport from Castle Bude to the various start locations available for an additional fee, bespoke medals for all finishers, a fully marked and marshalled course, and first aid provision on course and at headquarters. Dogs are not permitted with runners during the races due to insurance and permit limitations. Entry is managed through the SiEntries system; entries open 27 June 2025 and close 3 June 2026. The organiser also offers an optional entry-protection product called XCover for possible refunds in specific circumstances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
