Course, groups and logistics

The route starts at the UTA22 start near Queen Victoria Hospital and finishes at the Scenic World car park. The course descends Kedumba Valley Road, passes Leura Creek, Jamison Creek, the helipad and the old sewer plant, runs through Leura Forest and Federal Pass, then climbs Furber Steps to Scenic World. Organisers provide car shuttles from Scenic World to Queen Victoria Hospital so cars can be left at the finish. Pace structure includes three groups (Turtles, Mid Paced group, Hares) and there may be a walker group. Options include starting later to shorten the route to about 18 km or adding up to 10 km for extra-distance runners. There is a water drop at the old sewer plant at about 17 km. Expected total time on course is roughly 3.5 to 5 hours depending on distance and pace. Trainers cover race gear, nutrition and pacing during the run.
