The BMF UTA Stair Training Run is a guided training run on Violet Street, opposite Scenic World in Katoomba, NSW, Australia, on 1 February 2026. Distances offered range from 11–25 km. The run is organised by Blue Mountains Fitness in collaboration with The Body Mechanic and is aligned with STREEK.RUN 16-week base and event-specific race training plans for UTA11, UTA22, UTA50 and UTA100.

Course, groups and requirements

The route will include the UTA11 course at minimum, with additional Ultra Trail Australia trails and stair sections added to increase distance. The course route may change due to National Parks or council closures, landslides, floods or other unforeseen circumstances. Trainers hold an NPWS ECO PASS licence and the event is insured to operate within the National Park. Pace groups are planned (TURTLES, MID PACED, SPEEDY HARES) and a walker group may be included. Participants are asked to carry the UTA22 mandatory gear and to bring sufficient food and hydration for the run. Minimum age is 12; younger children may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Information and fees
