Katoomba, Australia • 1 Feb 2026

Event overview

BMF UTA Stair Training Run is a guided training run on Sunday, February 1, 2026, in Katoomba, NSW. The meeting point is Violet Street, opposite Scenic World. The run offers distance options from 11–25 km and is designed to include the UTA11 course as a minimum, with additional UTA trails used where open. The route may change because of National Parks or council closures, landslides, floods or other unforeseen circumstances.

Format and logistics

Blue Mountains Fitness, together with The Body Mechanic, leads the training and aligns sessions with STREEK.RUN base and event-specific UTA race training plans. Trainers hold a National Parks and Wildlife Service ECO PASS licence and insurance for training within the park. There will be three pace groups named Turtles, Mid Paced and Speedy Hares; a walker group and walk trainer may be available if required. Participants are asked to carry the UTA22 mandatory gear and to bring sufficient fuel and hydration for the planned distance. The minimum age is 12 for this training run. An information sheet with meeting points and a course map will be sent to participants before the day. Fees are listed as $60 for ages 17 and over and $50 for ages 16 and under.
