Blue Spruce

Blue Spruce is a trail race that highlights sections of the Greenway and Forests for the World trail systems. The event starts in the Forests for the World parking lot at the end of Kueng Road atop Cranbrook Hill.

• 5 km
• 10 km

The course runs on gravel and dirt trails and passes Shane Lake and the Blue Spruce trail. The 5 km route uses a short portion of the Blue Spruce before turning back and looping around the west side of Shane Lake. The 10 km route continues approximately 2.5 km along the Blue Spruce Connector to a gate at an open meadow before returning and completing the loop around Shane Lake.

Route difficulty is listed as easy to intermediate. The 5 km route records about 110 m ascent and 112 m descent. A water/Gatorade station is provided at the 10 km turnaround. The event includes a free kids race.

Registration and fees: PGRR members participate free but must register to receive a bib. Online fees are 15$ for the 5 km and 20$ for the 10 km; day of registration fees are 20$ and 25$ respectively.
