The Blarney Blitz is a St. Patrick's Day themed 5K run/walk held on March 14, 2026 in Peoria, Illinois. The course is on the Riverfront Trail and starts and finishes at the former Hooters restaurant location on Southwest Water Street. The post-race gathering takes place at Kelleher's Irish Pub & Eatery and includes food and a drink ticket for participants.
Logistics and awards
Packet pickup is available the day before at RC Outfitters and on race day at RC Outfitters (side door). Registration uses tiered pricing with an early bird period and higher fees closer to the event. Participants receive an official 2026 Blarney Blitz beer glass, St. Paddy's beads, one drink ticket (beer or soda), and entrance to the post-race party; beer glasses and beads are limited to the first 640 registered participants. Overall awards are given to the top male and top female by gun time. Age group awards (net time) go to the top three males and top three females in the listed age divisions from 14 & under through 70 & over. There will not be an awards ceremony; placed participants should check results and claim awards at the results table on site.
