Blackwater Heritage TrailBlazer, presented by Ameriprise Financial Services, is scheduled for February 21, 2026 at the Blackwater Heritage Trail Visitor Center, 5533 Alabama Street, Milton, FL. The event is held on a tree-lined, paved trail and includes both a longer race and a shorter fun run option. The 13 km course follows the trail for about 4 miles out and 4 miles back. The event is in its third year as a fun run and the 13 km returns for a second year.

Race details and logistics

The event is open to all ages and allows strollers and leashed dogs. The 13 km event includes overall awards for top male and female, age-group awards for multiple age bands (0-9 through 80+), top para-athletes, and top male and female walkers. The fun run will not have age-group awards but will feature participant prizes and door prizes. Online registration is scheduled to close on February 20 at 7:00 pm; there is no race-day registration for the 13 km, but race-day registration will be available for the 2.7 mile fun run/walk. Packet pickup and late registration for the fun run/walk are handled at the Visitor Center on race morning. Shirt sizing is guaranteed for registrations received by February 6, 2025.
