Binevenagh Mountain Race 2026
Binevenagh Mountain Race is scheduled for Saturday 18 April 2026 and is organised by Springwell Running Club. The race is part of the NIMRA league and the IMRA Ulster Championship. The route is 6.2 miles (10 km) with approximately 350 metres (1150 ft) of climb. The advertised start and finish location is Waterfall Caves, Accommodation Lane, with event headquarters at St Aidan Church Hall Carpark, Duncrun Road, Limavady.
Entries are online only and the event is listed as full with 120 participants. Minimum age is 18 on the event date. Entry fees were set at £15 for ANI affiliated runners and £17 for unaffiliated runners. Substitutions can be processed through the online entry system up to 12 April 2026 by the person who made the original entry; no entries are available on race day.
Full race kit is required and will be checked at registration. Required items include body cover such as waterproof trousers and a coat, hat and gloves, a whistle, and trail or fell shoes; road trainers are not permitted. Walking poles, headphones and earbuds are not allowed. The course will be fully marked and chip timed. Parking is limited to 50 spaces with a £5 per car charge; organisers request car sharing and use of the lower hall car park only. Race mugs are issued in exchange for race numbers. Prizes are awarded for top finishers, age categories and fastest mixed team. All race proceeds will go to Northwest Mountain Rescue Team.
