Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K San Antonio : McAllister Park Pavilion #5

This holiday-themed race day at McAllister Park includes multiple distances, a kids dash, in-person and virtual options, and on-course support. Events offered include:

  • Kids Dash : approximately 50 meters for children 10 and under
  • 1 Mile : untimed community distance with shirt and medal
  • 5K : 3.11 miles, chip timed with age group awards
  • 10K : 6.22 miles, chip timed with overall trophies
  • Volunteer then Run 5K : limited to first 20 sign-ups, includes chip timed bib, tee, and medal
  • Virtual Run : 6.22 miles completed remotely

All finishers receive a holiday-themed shirt and medal. The Kids Dash is not timed and includes a recognition pin and a keepsake pin; a professional race camera will capture the dash. The 5K and 10K present first overall trophies for male and female finishers, master's recognition pins, and standard age-group pins or medals across age brackets from 10 and under through 70 plus.

Aid stations and water are available on course. Course surfaces may include paved trails, crushed granite, and dirt paths. Packet pickup is offered beginning 1.5 hours before the event. A costume contest awards prizes including two free entries to a future Bigfoot race, a trophy, and a holiday treats bucket. Volunteer roles include water station, course monitor, finish line helper, and mascot, with volunteers eligible for shirts, medals, and other perks. Experience a rigorous trail event at Pearsall Park featuring hilly courses and summer conditions. Runners enjoy professional timing, a commemorative singlet, and a post race taco breakfast in San Antonio.

Night trail racing at Land Heritage Institute in San Antonio on August 1 2026, with distances from 5K up to 50K plus a 17K ruck. Trails are dirt single and wide track and headlamps and minimum hydration gear are required.

Multi-distance event at O. P. Schnabel Park on August 16, 2026, with Kids Dash, 1 Mile, chip-timed 5K, quarter and half marathons, plus a virtual option. On-course aid stations, on-site awards, shirts, medals, and post-race Kona Ice.

A memorial climb at the Tower of the Americas in San Antonio on September 11, 2026, honoring 344 fallen firefighters, 70 law enforcement officers and nine EMS tags. Participation is open to first responders, military and civilians.
