Event Overview

The Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K San Antonio is a holiday-themed running event at McAllister Park, Pavilion #5. The event features multiple distances and activities for various ages.

Distances

• Kids Dash: A 50-meter dash for children 10 and under. It is not timed. Participants receive a t-shirt, medal, and an exclusive Kids Dash recognition pin.
• 1 Mile Run: This event is not chip-timed and includes a t-shirt and medal.
• 5K Run (3.1 miles): A chip-timed race. Awards include first overall male and female trophies, special recognition pins for first male and female masters (age 40+), and standard age group awards.
• 10K Run (6.22 miles): A chip-timed race. Awards include first overall male and female Bigfoot trophies, special recognition pins for first male and female masters (age 40+), and standard age group awards.
• Volunteer then Run 5K: A limited option where participants volunteer before and after running the 5K. It includes a chip-timed bib, t-shirt, and finisher medal.
• Virtual Run: A remote participation option.

Participant Features

All finishers of all distances receive a medal and a holiday-themed race shirt. Holiday cookies and milk are provided at the finish line. The event includes a holiday costume contest with prizes.

Venue and Course

The event is held at McAllister Park on paved trails, with mixed surfaces like crushed granite and dirt paths possible. Aid stations providing water are on the course.

Schedule and Logistics

Packet pickup is available for 1.5 hours before the event start time. The Kids Dash begins at 8:55 AM, with the National Anthem and race start for other events at 9:00 AM.
