Heroes and Villains - San Antonio

Heroes and Villains is a multi-distance race day presented by Bigfoot Running Company at Southside Lions Park in San Antonio, TX 78210. The event features both timed and untimed options on scenic park and greenbelt trails that are mostly paved with some crushed granite and dirt sections. Aid stations are available along the courses.

Distances:

• Kids Dash : 50 meters, untimed, ages 10 and under
• 1 Mile Fun Run : untimed, all ages
• 5K : 3.11 miles, chip timed
• Quarter Marathon : 6.55 miles, chip timed
• Half Marathon : 13.1 miles, chip timed
• Volunteer then Run : run the 5K after volunteering, limited spots
• Virtual Run

All finishers in every distance receive a medal and a shirt. Standard awards for timed races include an overall Bigfoot Trophy for first male and female, a masters recognition pin for age 40 and over, and top three pins in each age group. A costume contest is held just prior to the races with prizes such as a $25 gift card, a free future race entry, and a themed prize pack. Packet pickup is available on race morning for bibs, shirts, and pre-ordered swag. Post-race activities include live results, an awards presentation, a DJ, finish line photos, and refreshments at the Race Rally Tent.

Volunteers can choose non-running roles with race shirt and VIP race access or a volunteer then run option that includes a chip-timed bib, shirt, and finisher medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
