Event overview

The Turkey Shuffle takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Lady Bird Johnson Trail Park in San Antonio, TX. The event is produced by Bigfoot Running Company and will be held at a park and greenbelt location. Course surfaces may include pavement, crushed granite, and occasional dirt paths. Aid stations will provide water on course. The event proceeds in all weather conditions.

Distances

• Kids Dash - about 50 meters, for children 10 and under
• 1 Mile - not chip-timed; includes shirt and medal
• 5K (3.11 miles) - chip-timed; age-group awards and overall trophies
• 10K (6.22 miles) - chip-timed; age-group awards and overall trophies
• Volunteer then Run 5K - volunteer before the race, then run the 5K; limited to first 20 sign-ups
• Virtual Run - virtual participation option

Awards, extras and logistics

All finishers in every distance receive a shirt and a medal. The 5K and 10K have standard age-group awards that include 1st overall male and female trophies, masters (age 40+) recognition pins, and age-group pins across bands up to 70+. A costume contest will award a "Biggest Turkey" trophy and a prize pack including a certificate for two future race entries, an HEB gift card, and a Bigfoot Running Company swag pack. A DJ will provide music at the event, and snacks and refreshments will be available at the race rally tent. Packet pickup is offered 1.5 hours before the event start time. Volunteers receive shirts and souvenir medals (subject to availability) and may choose a free future race entry or a $20 pre-paid digital gift card as a benefit.
