Turkey Shuffle - San Antonio
The Turkey Shuffle is a community running event held at Lady Bird Johnson Trail Park in San Antonio on November 7, 2026. The event offers multiple distances and a family focused atmosphere with on-site music, awards, and a costume contest.
Distances offered:
- Kids Dash - approximately 50 meters for ages 10 and under
- 1 Mile - untimed one mile event
- 5K - 3.11 miles, chip timed
- 10K - 6.22 miles, chip timed
- Volunteer then Run 5K - volunteer plus 5K participation, limited entries
- Virtual Run - 6.22 miles
All finishers receive a shirt and a medal. The 5K and 10K include age group awards, overall trophies, and special recognition for masters winners. A costume contest with a trophy and a prize pack is part of the event; the prize pack includes a certificate for two future race entries, a grocery gift card, and an event swag pack. Results and awards are available at the registration tent after the race.
The event provides aid stations on course and snacks and refreshments at the race rally tent. A DJ will provide music and announcements. Bigfoot Running Company seeks to use parks and green belts with mostly paved trails but mixed surfaces may include crushed granite and dirt.
