Bigfoot Running Company stages Shark Week Showdown at Lady Bird Johnson Trail Park in San Antonio, Texas on July 11, 2026. The event offers multiple in-person distances plus a virtual option and includes onsite amenities such as aid stations, music at the start and finish, and race tees.
Distances include:
- Kids Dash : 50 m (age 10 and under)
- 1 Mile : not chip timed, finisher medal included
- 5K : 3.11 miles, chip timed with awards
- 10K : 6.22 miles, chip timed with awards
- Volunteer then Run 5K : run the 5K after volunteering
- Virtual Run : 9.33 miles option
The 5K and 10K feature standard age group awards and recognitions including 1st Overall male and female Bigfoot trophies and a 1st Masters (40+) recognition pin. Finishers in the 1 Mile, 5K, and 10K receive finisher medals; the Kids Dash has a special medal. Youth pricing applies for ages 12 and under for some entries.
Volunteer opportunities are available in multiple roles. The Volunteer Then Run option for the 5K includes a custom chip timed bib, race tee, and finisher medal and is limited in number. Full race volunteers receive a Bigfoot race shirt, VIP race access, and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 prepaid digital gift card.
