The Wiener Run 5K & 10K takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Southside Lions Park, 3900 Pecan Valley Dr, San Antonio, TX 78210. The event includes multiple distances, on-course aid stations, live music, finisher medals, and race shirts. A portion of proceeds supports a local wiener dog rescue, and organizers will collect dog food, toys, and treats at the event. A hot dog and beverage are provided to each runner at the finish line. • 5K - listed as 3.11 miles, chip-timed, with overall and age-group awards.
• 10K - listed as 6.22 miles, with overall and age-group awards.
  Age groups run from 10 & under up to 70+. Prizes include overall trophies and a masters recognition for 40+.

Logistics and volunteers

Packet pickup opens 1.5 hours before the race. Shirt guarantee is 10 days before race day. Course surfaces include pavement, crushed granite, and grass paths. A volunteer-then-run option (5K) is limited to the first five sign-ups; other volunteer roles offer a race shirt, VIP access, and a choice of a future race entry or a $20 gift card.
