Bigfoot is a trail race held Saturday and Sunday, December 6-7, 2025, at Salt Fork State Park Lodge in Kimbolton, OH. The event lists expected participation of over 800 people. Distances offered across the weekend are:
- 50K - three 10.4-mile loops, over 4,000' elevation gain
- 20 Mile - two 10.4-mile loops
- 10 Mile - Saturday - one 10.4-mile loop
- 10 Mile - Sunday - one 10.4-mile loop
Awards are planned for each event, including top 3 overall male and female and top 3 in five-year age groups from 24 & under through 70 & over. The race is part of the Ohio Endurance Series; athletes who participate in four series events qualify for Endurance Athlete of the Year recognition.
Course, logistics and services
The course is a 10.4-mile loop on hiking and bridle trails entirely within Salt Fork State Park. It features rolling hills and is marked with pink blazes and permanent wooden signs. Saturday programs include the 50K, 20 mile, and a 10 mile event; Sunday features a separate 10 mile event. RaceJoy will be available for live GPS tracking and progress alerts. Donations benefit Guernsey County Sheriff’s Mounted Search and Rescue.
Registration, lodging and swag
Registration has early, regular, and late tiers with listed fees for each distance. Lodging is available at Salt Fork Lodge near the start and finish; lodge rooms require a two-night minimum for the race weekend and a refundable deposit up to 72 hours before arrival.
