Course and logistics
The course runs mostly on gravel driveways, open grass areas, and wide mowed grass pathways through wooded areas, with a few short stretches of single-track dirt. Runners cross a natural creek approximately 15-20 feet wide; depth can vary from ankle to knee depending on recent weather. Participants should expect uneven ground, exposed roots, rocks, low branches, wet or marshy sections, and possible snow or ice. Parking at Camp Big Timber is limited, so carpooling is encouraged. Bib pick-up is available the day before at a local running store and on race day at the site. Volunteers are needed and receive a printed t-shirt and pancake breakfast.
