Big Timber XC Challenge

Big Timber XC Challenge is an autumn trail race held at Camp Big Timber in Elgin, Illinois (Big Timber Road at Tyrrell Road). Runners can choose between a 3-mile Run/Walk (one loop) and a 5-mile Run (two loops), with the course featuring gravel roads, open grass, wooded paths, and a creek crossing with a rope to aid crossing. A Kids Fun Run is offered for children 10 and younger.

All participants receive a pancake breakfast and a finisher award. The event is sponsored by Dick Pond Athletics, Saucony, Pollyanna Brewing, and Darn Tough, with proceeds benefiting the Boy Scouts of America Three Fires Council and the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin.
