Courses and race details
Most trails are dirt, on single and double track, with short steep hills, rollers, and uneven terrain. Courses are marked and carry a "Won't-Get-Lost" guarantee. The 5 km course has about 300 ft of climbing and follows an opening loop plus a larger loop back to the pavilion. The 15 km course has about 800 ft of climbing, uses the opening loop plus two laps of a roughly 4.15-mile big loop, and includes an aid station by the finish between laps at about 4.75 miles. The 15 km has a cut-off of 1 hour 15 minutes at the end of the first big loop (about 4.7 miles). Start and finish are located near Coyote Crossing / the pavilion within Bear Creek Lake Park.
